Daniel Bagheri Sarvestani, is a Canadian human rights advocate and advisor. He has been volunteering and working internationally for the better part of the past five years. Currently, he is assigned by Cuso International (a Canadian development organization) to work in Honduras as an Indigenous Peoples rights consultant.

Climate change disproportionately affects indigenous communities. This organization is trying to change that.
I was invited to help light a fire; little did I know that it would help light a fire within. 
Building connections between international NGOs and their local beneficiaries. 
A program aimed at providing assistance to female survivors of violence is launched in Copán, Honduras.
Daniel begins his placement and learns how mining affects indigenous people.
As Daniel starts his volunteer placement, he begins to question his role.
