Founded in 1666, Lund University is consistently ranked as one of the world’s top 100 universities and is the number one choice for international students coming to Sweden. As a full-scale university with eight faculties and several specialised research centres, the University offers 100 degree programmes taught in English (5 Bachelor's degree; 95 Master's degrees) across a broad range of subjects. We have a number of partner universities in Canada enabling study abroad/student exchange opportunities. Located in southern Sweden (40 minutes by train to Copenhagen, Denmark), Lund is a medieval city of 100,000 people where 90% people speak English.

The application period for our degree programmes is open mid-October until January for programmes starting in the fall semsester (September). You apply online and then send your supporting documents to University Admissions in Sweden by 1 February. Admission to a Bachelor's degree requires completed upper secondary school studies and proficiency in English. You must have completed secondary school studies at the time of application.Admissions to a Master's degree programmes requires a completed undergraduate degree (there may be specific courses you need to have completed) and proficiency in English. It is possible to apply during your final year of your undergraduate degree so long as you have completed the degree before the start of the programme.Admission as an exchange student requires you to be nominated by your home university. English language proficiency for non-native speakers can be demonstrated through IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 90 or through previous secondary school or Bachelor's degree studies taught in English. See the full details at universityadmissions.se

Lund University accepts the Canadian provincial student loans. Lund University grants academic excellence awards towards the cost of tuition fees through a scholarship programme based on academic merit. Canadian students are welcome to apply. Students with an EU citizenship are exempt from tuition fees.
