WorldTeach is currently looking for the motivated individuals who will serve as volunteer teachers in our yearlong, semester, and summer programs this year. Our volunteer teachers work in diverse countries in a myriad of placements. Placement locations range from villages of the Tanzanian savannah, to the urban hubs of Colombia, to the dense rainforests of Guyana, and to remote islands in the middle of the Pacific ocean, among others. Volunteers teach many subjects including English as Foreign Language, math, science, and information computer technology.
Volunteers are full time teachers, and in some programs, also have the opportunity to earn a TEFL certificate during their term of service. While volunteers share their skills and knowledge with their students and communities, they also gain cultural understanding, foreign language skills, develop leadership experience, and learn how to be more adaptable and resourceful. These key skills are integral to becoming a responsible global citizen and applicable to every career path.
